Charity Day Entry Form

We are both delighted to announce that our chosen charity is the Hunts Community Cancer Network (HCCN). Our aim was to select a local charity for local people and that any monies raised were able to fund identifiable products or services. We have had 2 meetings with the charity trustees and are pleased that HCCN ticks all of these boxes. Moreover they are equally motivated to work with us over the coming months to mutually enhance the relationship between the charity and the Golf Club.

HCCN is an innovative partnership between the Hunts Community Cancer nursing team, the HCCN Charity and volunteers. Working together and delivering a home-based nursing service, their aim is to help people who are recovering from or living with cancer in Huntingdonshire to take back their lives and to play an active part in managing their health. The nursing team is based at the Woodlands Cancer Unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. They are most definitely a local charity supporting local people and all of their volunteers are unpaid.

In the meantime, should you wish to find out more about them, then please click on the following links: and Colin’s video story, which illustrates what HCCN is providing for cancer patients in Huntingdonshire. The buddy band system is something that our funds will go on to support and in doing so will enable HCCN to roll this initiative out to far more people.

Our main charity day is on Friday 27th July which we hope you will support in whatever way you can. Additionally, we will look to arrange other charity fund-raising events throughout the year.

best regards as always, Elaine and Ian
