The Ladies' Section at Brampton Park is a vibrant element of the club. Our aim is to promote a spirit of friendly competition and by operating a busy schedule of competitions, socials and fundraisers we hope to provide an enjoyable golfing experience for all the ladies.

The Ladies' Section comprises 5 and 7 day members. The ladies play on a Tuesday which is Ladies' Day and also at weekends. Over 40 ladies play on a regular basis each week.

Competitions: To enter a competition ladies sign up in the weekly competitions folder. The programme is displayed on the Ladies' noticeboard. Monthly qualifying competitions, medals and Stablefords, are played in the summer as well as fun and team competitions.

Ladies can participate in weekend club competitions which are organised by the Men's Committee. These include Stablefords, Greensomes and 4BBB, and allow any combination of players.

The Ladies' Section has a programme of friendly and mixed matches with local clubs and annual novelty matches are played vs the Men's, Seniors' and Juniors' teams.

Lady Secretary's Blog

August 2017

Well sometime has passed and so much golf.  The really good news is that our Ladies team were successful in the Grace Norman.  Congratulations to all the ladies who played and their caddies.

We now have the Jean Wilkinson to conquer.

We have had our Ladies 36 hole Championship and we had a worthy winner in Karen Cox.  What a great result.  We thought the weather was going to be a challenge but in the end it really didn't matter.

I played and came somewhere in the middle of the field.  Joyously not going up or down in handicap.

My mixed partner (Joe Zarate) and I played Fay Allison and David Lindley and they were on form and truly beat us.  I won't say the score, could be embarrassing.  But they played really well and worked together.  Myself and Joe,  well we needed divine intervention that sadly didn't happen :-)

Coming up we have our Mary Collett major and then the following weekend we have Lady Captain's day.  This is always a fixture in the calendar to look forward to.  So much fun is had by all.  So any ladies thinking of joining Brampton should seriously consider it as we really know how to have fun.
