Welcome from the Senior Men’s Captain
On behalf of the Brampton Park Senior Men’s Section (SMS) Committee I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the comprehensive golf programme that we organise throughout the year.
Complementing the very active club diary of Ladies’ and Men’s golf, the SMS Committee, operating under the technical guidance of the Men’s Competitions, Handicaps and Fixtures Committee, provides a full range of mid-week roll-ups, Honours Board competitions and friendly inter-club matches for those male members who meet the qualifying age requirements. These are predominantly played off the Yellow tees with a small number played off the White tees. We also organise away days.
We are always delighted to welcome new players to our ranks whatever their playing standard – beginner, high handicapper or experienced golfer. We encourage our members to vary participants in their roll-up groups each week, by operating a men’s locker room sign-in sheet on a first come, first served basis. This ensures that newcomers can get to know a large number of fellow senior golfers very quickly. For those still needing to establish an initial handicap, we can arrange for their three initial scorecards to be completed, signed and submitted.
Our aim is to provide well organised competitive golf in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The information below should give a better understanding of how we run the Section but my contact details are available from the office for anyone needing further information.

We enjoy allocated blocks of tee times on Monday and Friday mornings for our roll-up programme. Simply turn up between 7:30 and 9:30 am (7:00 to 9:00am in summer), append your name to the sign-in sheet on the noticeboard and pop £1 in the metal box. Mondays are individual Stableford or Medal rounds, whilst Fridays are usually ‘fun’ format team games. The programme of roll-up formats, competitions and matches is posted on the noticeboard monthly, in advance, and also on the website.
Monthly Medals
A Monthly Medal roll-up competition (open to Affiliate and Full Members with a competition handicap) takes place on the last Friday of the month from April to September. The winners are presented with their prize at the Captain’s day dinner and qualify for the SMS Masters competition (Full Members only).
